Favorite returning TV shows of 2015

Any show worth watching has already premiered in 2015 (thank you, Amazon, for waiting until the last month). Here’s a list of my favorite shows that returned this year. You’ll notice some heavy hitters missing. For instance: I unfortunately don’t watch Game of Thrones regularly. That means I realize that this isn’t a best of list. You can’t really argue with me on my personal taste. Also, this is based off of episodes airing in 2015 only; not considering the whole series. I actually left off one of my favorite shows from last year (How to Get Away with Murder) simply because this season isn’t living up to my expectations.

Predicting the 65th Emmy Awards

The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are this Sunday on CBS and will be hosted by the incomparable Neil Patrick Harris. That means it is time to make my annual picks yet again in hopes of doing better than the previous year. I was going to break this up into a multi-day post, but since I got these out so late I’ve included all of the major award. Check it out below.

Favorites of 2012: returning television

Over the course of December, I’ll present a series of my own end of 2012 lists. Unlike many, I won’t give you a best of list because that’s no fun. Instead I’ll give you lists of my favorite things from 2012. Because let’s face it: the best stuff isn’t always what you love the most.

Emmy predictions

I already wrote about my initial reactions to the 64th Emmy Nominations, but I’ve had time to think about it and am officially making my predictions for this Sunday’s award show. I’ll keep it short and sweet and to the point. I’ll only discuss the major acting award in drama/comedy. No writing, directing or guest appearances. No miniseries or TV movies either. Just the big guns.

Reactions to the 64th Emmy Nominations

I love, love, love the Emmys. It’s my favorite night of the year. I woke up too late to live tweet or anything crazy like that so I watched a repeat of the nomination here. I watched each category be announced, paused it and wrote about it. The order you see below is the order Kerry Washington and Jimmy Kimmel announced them in.

Supporting roles were not announced during the webcast and can be found listed here. I included my thoughts on these categories after the Outstanding Comedy Series award. I chose not to touch on all of the awards (writing, directing, etc) but will eventually make my final picks in every category in the week prior to the ceremony. Enjoy.
