The opening seven episodes of the third season contain a lot of goodness. We’re introduced to Lane’s band, which means Dave Rygalski (Adam Brody) has officially come into our lives. We get a guest appearance by John Hamm. We get the resolution of the Dean-Rory-Jess love triangle. For now.

‘Gilmore Girls’ Rewind: Season 2, Episodes 16-22
Originally aired April 9, 2002 – May 21, 2002.
Wow, wow, wow, wow. Rory’s love life is in the middle of quite the predicament. Since the bracelet episode she and Jess have been spending a lot of time together. After a few episodes apart (which we get to see some great Richard and Emily episodes that I’ll talk about later) things really pick up when Luke asks Rory to tutor Jess because he is flunking out.
Look, even I admit Jess is being a jerk here. There is nothing I hate more than kids who are smart, but think they’re too cool for school to try. This was the only time I was rooting against Jess this season, but then watching how adorable the two are together and how awkwardly cute their conversations are I realized that I can forgive him.
‘Gilmore Girls’ Rewind: Season 2, Episodes 9-15
Originally aired November 27, 2001 – February 26, 2002
Sorry that this second batch of episodes from season two took so long (to the five of you who love Gilmore Girls). This group of episodes is most certainly worth the wait. It is filled with ridiculous themed episodes (an Olde English-style dinner, a basket auction) some weighty-ish episodes (like Richard coming to Stars Hallow) and some great love triangle development between Dean and Rory and Jess.
‘Gilmore Girls’ Rewind: Season 2, Episodes 1-8

The second season of Gilmore Girls begins nearly immediately after the first season’s conclusion. The first four episodes take place over the summer and boy, is it a summer to remember.
‘Gilmore Girls’ Rewind: Season 1, Episodes 15-21
Originally aired: March 1, 2001 – May 10, 2001.
Let’s finish off the inaugural season of Gilmore Girls. This is really the third act of a three act play. Everything comes full circle, almost, and personal relationships really take center stage as the show begins to gain traction on the pace and angle it will take the rest of the series.
The mirroring of storylines between Lorelai and Rory is terrific. The love triangles, the interactions with Emily, the whole she-bang. It’s really great from a writing perspective as well as a thematic one. These last seven episodes show how in sync the Girls are and how alike their lives are – save for the fact that Rory didn’t get knocked up at 16.

‘Gilmore Girls’ Rewind: Season 1, Episodes 1-7

I’ve decided to go ahead and re-watch one of my biggest crushes: Rory Gilmore. Every seven or so episodes I’m going to recap some observations and favorite moments. Maybe alone with reviews of some sort… So, here we go:
